The Extra Mile project is a three-year programme that will support female heads of households who are isolated, vulnerable, financially and socially excluded and also suffering with poor mental health. The project will put in a number of interventions that will support the clients. These will include access to a support worker who will help them move from financial and social isolation to being able to manage their own finances, and a coach who will help them from social isolation to social inclusion, and enable the client to make positive decisions in relation to their present situation.
